Why Sketchbooks?

Taking a look at artist’s sketchbooks and the many and various ways they are used. We will look at a selection of them, think about their use, and I will show how I used watercolour as an ideal medium for them.

Meet the owner of Daniel Smith Watercolour, John Cogley
John will be demonstrating and explaining the characteristics and manufacture of Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolours, watercolours which are made for and influenced by professional painters.
Come and discuss your favourite colour, and discover all sorts of things about the manufacturing process.

Exhibition tour with Past President of the RSW Catriona Mann and artist Jean Martin
Two veterans of the RSW will take a group of visitors round selected highlights of the exhibition offering their knowledge and fascinating insights into some of the artists and their work. Not to be missed!
