Leonard Gray RSW

Many of my paintings are based on the East Coast of Scotland. Latterly travel to Europe and the Far East have resulted in work based on these experiences. My paintings are executed with a mixed media technique with gouache being the main medium. My palette consists of subtle warm colours but my emphasis is on textured relationships. I use light areas to break up shape giving a slightly abstract quality to emphasize the picture plane.
