Jonathan Sainsbury RSW

I live and work in rural Perthshire close to the wildlife and landscape that are the inspiration for my work. I have been painting nature all my working life, never tiring of its beauty and complexity.

Watercolour has always been my chosen medium, primarily because it enables fine illustration of plants and animals and secondly atmosphere in landscapes can be captured so well with watercolour paint.
