Watercolour boxes themselves are a recurring feature in my work. Sometimes, I use  actual boxes,  with their own unique history, which I then inhabit (very much in the manner of a virtual hermit crab!).  At other times I create representations instead, using mixed media. The image above is of a watercolour box, but one which was constructed from  heavy watercolour paper. Other paintings are more straightforward and representational.
