Artists Statement

Throughout my painting career I have concentrated on places, objects and people that have a strong connection to me in some way. Either, family or close friends, collected objects and places where I have lived. The insight gained by having known my subject matter over time is important to me because of the spiritual element it brings to my work

Biography

For the past decade I have focussed intensely on my home environment and the countryside and coast within a tight two mile radius. From the resulting work I have had three successful solo shows. During this time I have given many lectures and demonstrations on my work, techniques and influences to varied audiences throughout Scotland. I have continued to support the Scottish Art Club exhibition programme and served on various art related committees at national level.
