Artists Statement

I am interested in form created by the interaction of human activity and the landscape, particularly in relation to Scottish archaeological and historic sites. In addition to watercolour I also paint large works in oil.

1987-1989 - Dean of the Faculty of Art & Design, Heriot Watt University

1998-Professor of Painting, Heriot Watt University 2005-Elected to RSA
