Artists Statement

I am a landscape painter essentially. I was a pilot in the Army Air Corps and landscape from the air has been a constant pre-occupation. Still life and the ruins of ancient cities are also of interest.

Biography

1948-1952 - Edinburgh College of Art and Design
1952-1960 - Assistant teacher of art, Waid Academy, Anstruther

Full-time lecturer in art at Nottingham, College of Art & Design and Trent Polytechnic. Full-time senior lecturer in Foundation Studies to 1984 and retirement.
