Artists Statement
Studied at Glasgow School of Art 1963-67 specialising in drawing & painting and ever since then my ambition has simply been to improvemy language of paint. My source material tends to be the Natural Environment - in all seasons - on the spot. Emotional reaction and of course endless studio work.
Biography
Born in the shadow of the shipyards I am the only one of my generation not to follow my Father's wishes and learn a trade in the yards! Encouraged by my Grandfather to chase my own dreams.
I am still chasing.
