Artists Statement

I live in the Kingdom of Fife opposite The West Lomond - All its moods fill my vision - its tones of grey and green and mists, also brilliant light and shadow formedby the low lying sun in winter.
Recently figures are appearing in my paintings - Most recently Mary Queen of Scots who haunts this area and its history.
When painting I achieve textures I want by using collage and different papers.

Biography

My work has been involved lately in exhibiting or responding to invitations. This has included invitations to participate in 'The Discerning Eye Gallery' exhibition in The Mall g Gallery (2007) In mixed shows like "The Exhibition of 400 Women @ Shoreditch" (2010) which also showed at the Edinburgh Festival. This exhibition recorded the fate of disappeared Mexicans.
Locally I was "Invited Artist to the Pittenweem Festival" (2009) and I participated in "The Best of Contemporary Scottish Women Artists" show at The Lennox Gallery.
